A. eSIM Support
1. Check via command #06#
This method works on both iOS and Android:
Open the "Phone" app on your phone and dial: *#06#
-
If the EID (Embedded Identity Document) field appears on the screen, it means the device supports eSIM.
-
If you don't see an EID, your device may not support eSIM or may be network locked.
2. Check from your phone settings
▸ iOS (iPhone):
Go to: Settings > Mobile Services
If you see the options to "Add eSIM", "Add mobile plan" or "Activate eSIM", it means that your device supports eSIM.
▸ Android:
Go to: Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager
If you see options such as "Add eSIM" and "Add mobile plan", it means that the device supports eSIM.
B. The phone is not locked or has been unlocked
A network-locked / carrier-locked phone is a phone that can only use the SIM/eSIM of a specific carrier and cannot use cards from other carriers.
This usually happens when the phone is purchased under a "telecom contract", where the phone is restricted to using a specific operator's card for a certain period of time.
⚠️ Even if your phone supports eSIM, if it is locked to another network, you will still not be able to use the eSIM of another telecom operator .
The inspection method is as follows:
▸ iOS (iPhone):
Go to: Settings > General > About this device
Check the "Network Lock" field: If it shows "No SIM restriction", it means it is not locked to the network.
▸ Android:
Go to: Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager
Check "Select mobile network" or "Automatically select network". If you can select multiple telecom operators, it means that the device is not locked to the network.
