What is an eSIM and which devices can use it?

An eSIM is an electronic SIM card built into your phone, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card. Simply scan a QR code and you're ready to go. iPhone XS and later models, many Samsung Galaxy models, and the Google Pixel all support eSIM.

However, some iPhone or Samsung models purchased in Japan, China, Macau, and Hong Kong may not support eSIM.

How to install and activate Aviro's eSIM/physical SIM card?
  • For eSIM : After completing payment, you will receive a QR code via email. Please ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network and follow the product installation instructions. Please note that most eSIM plans start counting usage time the moment they are installed and activated. Therefore, it is recommended that you install the plan on the day of departure to avoid premature activation and shortening your usage period.
  • For physical SIM cards : Your SIM card will be shipped to you via standard shipping methods. Upon receipt, insert it into your phone's SIM card slot 1 (if your phone has dual slots), select the Aviro SIM as your mobile data card, and enable data roaming. Some plans are automatically activated upon first insertion and connection to the network; for further setup, please refer to the detailed installation instructions included with your Aviro card.
What if I have problems activating my eSIM?

If you're having trouble connecting to the internet after installing the eSIM or scanning the QR code, please first check that your device is connected to Wi-Fi and confirm that you've followed the instructions correctly. If this doesn't resolve the issue, please contact us through our online customer service chat for the fastest assistance.

If you are abroad, please find a Wi-Fi hotspot at an airport or hotel and contact us. We will help you quickly check and resolve the issue.

Can eSIM share Wi-Fi with other devices?

Most Aviro eSIMs support hotspot sharing, but some plans may not be able to share the network due to restrictions of the cooperating carrier or device.

Please read the plan page carefully or contact customer service to confirm whether the hotspot function is supported.

If I accidentally delete my eSIM, can I reinstall it?

Once installed, the eSIM can only be used once .

If you delete or remove it from your device, the original QR code will no longer work. You will need to purchase a new eSIM to continue using it. Therefore, we recommend not deleting your eSIM unless specifically instructed by Aviro or you are certain you no longer need it.
